PodSkip is a podcast player that uses on-device AI speech recognition and server-side AI to detect advertisements in podcast episodes. The app provides tools to identify and skip sponsored segments during playback — the same action users already perform manually. Ad detection is provided on a best-effort basis and may not identify all advertisements.
PodSkip offers free and premium tiers. Premium features require an active subscription or one-time purchase made through the Apple App Store.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their standard refund policy.
Lifetime License. A "Lifetime" purchase grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use PodSkip's premium features for as long as the PodSkip application exists and is actively maintained — it does not mean the duration of your natural life. PodSkip reserves the right to discontinue the app or service at any time. In the event of discontinuation, no refund is guaranteed beyond Apple's standard refund policy window. A Lifetime license is personal to you, may not be transferred or shared, and does not entitle you to future features or platform versions not yet in existence at the time of purchase.
A "Lifetime" purchase grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use PodSkip premium features for as long as PodSkip is actively maintained and made available. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the PodSkip application, not the lifetime of the purchaser. By purchasing a lifetime license, you acknowledge and agree that:
The purchase of a lifetime license is a one-time payment for access to current premium features and carries no guarantee of future service continuity.
PodSkip reserves the right to suspend, modify, or permanently discontinue the service or any part thereof at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Upon discontinuation of the service, all licenses (including lifetime licenses) will terminate. No refunds will be issued upon service discontinuation, except as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of this risk.
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store. PodSkip has no ability to issue, approve, or deny refunds — Apple has sole discretion over all refund decisions in accordance with their App Store Terms of Service. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you must request it directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
With respect to lifetime license purchases specifically:
PodSkip does not issue direct refunds for any reason, including dissatisfaction with ad detection accuracy, service interruptions, feature changes, or service discontinuation. All refund requests must go through Apple.
PodSkip shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, government action or regulation, changes in law, internet or infrastructure outages, third-party service failures (including Apple App Store, Cloudflare, or AI service providers), cyberattacks, or any other event outside PodSkip's reasonable control. In such events, PodSkip's obligations under these Terms are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and no refunds or compensation will be owed.
PodSkip does not host podcast content. All podcasts are accessed via their publicly available RSS feeds. We are not responsible for podcast content, availability, accuracy, or any third-party content. All podcast content remains the property of its respective owners.
PodSkip and its underlying technology, branding, and software are owned by PodSkip and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the app does not grant you any license to our technology, trademarks, or code. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, or redistribute the app or its components.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate service. Ad detection accuracy is not guaranteed.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PodSkip and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service, arising out of or related to your use of PodSkip, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of PodSkip shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or litigation in the courts of the State of Texas. In any legal proceeding brought by a user against PodSkip, the user agrees to bear all legal costs, filing fees, and attorney's fees incurred by both parties, regardless of the outcome, except where prohibited by applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Texas for any disputes not subject to arbitration.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
